Meltone !! You weren't kidding. They rocked it hard for their entire set. I got to meet the drummer and the guitarist when they were cruising the grounds. Let them know that they were killin' it up on stage. Some dude in the crowd said it best during their set, " Late nite Meltone !! "

New Deal laid down some serious groovin'

Los Amigos Invisibles had me dancin' their entire set.

    This festival never disappoints me

Meltone was certainly a musical highlight. They really got folks going, even in the semi-brutal heat. Some great covers and amazing energy from the band. Hope they enjoyed their desert session.

New Deal was pretty pumpin. It had me dancing up a small storm.

Garaj Mahal was killer too. Punjat, was a new song premiered, and was a great mix of fusion, melody and funk. Semos is such a crazy song, and I think most folks didnt get how unique that beat really is.

I had a great time meeting new folks and getting my fair, welcomed, share of sun rays. Now on to Bobolink, and the grand festie poo-bah... HIGH SIERRA MUSIC FESTIVAL.

MVP: JT Country Kitchen. That place was so dank and so full of character.

I thought the Rhythm Council set was awesome! I loves me some NOLA funk!! My only complaint was that they didn't play long enough!!! :)

And another vote for Meltone! Definitely tough to get the crowd going in the middle of the heat of the last day of a festie, but everyone was on their feet dancing -- even on the sides where there wasn't much shade! Now that's saying something!

Big thanks to Barnett & the crew for throwing one heck of a party, yet again! Looking forward to October!!
